He was the head football coach for [[Cherokee High School (Georgia)|Cherokee High School]] from 1973 to 1977, [[LaGrange High School (Georgia)|LaGrange High School]] from 1980 to 1983, [[Forsyth Central High School]] from 1985 to 1987, [[East Coweta High School]] from 1988 to 2007, [[The Heritage School (Newnan, Georgia)|The Heritage School]] in 2010, and [[Reinhardt University]] from 2011 to 2014.

==Playing career and military career==
